2. Common issues
"Plugin doesn't appear in my DAW"
- macOS: Verify the files exist at
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (AU) or /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/ (VST3). Trigger a plugin rescan in your DAW.
- Windows: Verify
C:Program FilesCommon FilesVST3dBaton Cue.vst3 exists. Trigger a rescan in your DAW.
- Restart your DAW after installation.
"Plugin crashes or won't load on Windows"
"No audio in the browser"
- Confirm the plugin shows Live status (green dot)
- Check that the VU meters move in the plugin — if they show −60 dB, the plugin is not receiving audio. Ensure it is on a bus that receives audio.
- Check that the browser tab is not muted and system volume is up
- On iOS: disable Silent Mode using the physical side switch
- Try a different browser — Chrome is recommended
"Connection takes too long or keeps reconnecting"
- Check the internet connection on both sides
- On corporate, hotel, or restrictive networks the connection may use a TURN relay, which adds latency — this is normal
- Try the High buffer setting in the listener's settings (gear icon)
"License activation failed"
- Verify the serial format:
DBCUE-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
- Check your internet connection — activation requires internet
- Each license allows up to 3 machines. If you have reached the limit, deactivate one at dbaton.com/cue/purchases
- If the issue persists, email support@dbaton.com
"I lost my license key"

- You will receive a secure link to view all your licenses
